Education Committee

The Education Committee works on various education issues with the San Lorenzo Valley Schools, T-K through high school graduation. In addition, the Committee works on projects with the students to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of the unique environment where they live and to promote future caregivers for the protection and maintenance of our beautiful Valley. The VWC Education Committee also provides scholarships and our new McPherson Teachers Grant. Our scholarships and grants are funded by donations from the community and carefully managed investments. Thank you for your continued support and contributions to the future. 

Applications can be submitted beginning Monday, Sept. 5, 2022.
The application deadline is Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.

VWC’s 21st Annual Scholarship Rummage Sale Helps Out SLVHS Grads

Give Graduating High School Seniors a Helping Hand

Please come and shop VWC’s 21st Annual Rummage Sale and help us to raise money for SLVHS student scholarships for Cabrillo College.

Kitchen and household wares, small furniture, jewelry, children’s toys, linens, and tools are among the items sold to raise scholarship funds.

Spring Cleaning?
Donate your de-cluttering to the VWC for the sale! We will take most of it, but please NO books, clothes, baby furniture, or large furniture. The VWC will start taking your donations Saturday, May 12th. Call 338-2247 to make arrangements. Donations are tax-deductible—please ask for a receipt.

This year’s scholarships recipients will be announced at the San Lorenzo Valley High School Awards Night on May 31st.
