What is the San Lorenzo River Estuary Project?
It’s an ongoing restoration project initiated in 2016 by the Valley Women’s Club ’SLV Native Habitat Restoration Committee’ and is supported by the City of Santa Cruz Park & Rec. Dept. We are a diverse group of volunteers who enjoy working together on restoring the San Lorenzo River habitats.

Saturday, June 19th, was the first time that we lifted the COVID group size limit. Our group consisting of eight community members and seven Downtown Street team participants, collaborated side by side to improve the levee native habitats. The result was that 15 volunteers got together to tackle various tasks.
