The Valley Women’s Club of San Lorenzo Valley shared Assemblymember Mark Stone’s post.

Thank you Assemblmember
Mark Stone for caring about San Lorenzo Valley! It was standing room only at Yesterday’s annual Environmental Town Hall hosted by the Valley Women’s Club of San Lorenzo Valley. Thanks to Nancy Macy and the VWC Environment Committee for organizing, and to the local agencies and nonprofits that provided informational tables. The dominant concern voiced by residents was PG&E’s recent “enhanced” tree-cutting activities, and whether the Utility is most effectively mitigating the high risk that we have for wildfires. As the horrific loss of life and devastation continues to mount in the Camp and Woolsey fires, the question of whether PG&E’s negligence was a factor is still being investigated. But it is obvious that neglect is everywhere. Sagging lines and rotting poles point to an aging infrastructure and insufficient investment in hardening the electric system and incorporating new technologies to keep customers safe. I will continue to push PG&E and the CPUC to do the right thing, for its ratepayers, for the environment, and for all the victims of these tragic fires. … See MoreSee Less
