If you were in Boulder Creek this spring, you probably remember the magic. Thousands of California Tortoiseshell butterflies fluttered through town, drifted among the redwoods, and delighted everyone lucky enough to witness the spectacle.
This 4th of July, let's bring a little of that magic back.
The Valley Women’s Club invites everyone to march with us in the Boulder Creek 4th of July Parade. Our goal is simple: fill the streets with butterflies, bees, dragonflies, hummingbirds, birds, and other winged creatures for a joyful celebration of nature, community, and Independence Day.
Bring your family, invite your friends, and let your imagination take flight! Wear butterfly wings, dress as your favorite winged creature, or, if you're feeling creative, come as a towering redwood tree. We’ve had some wonderful redwood costumes in past parades, and we'd love to see them return.
No costume? No problem! We'll have a limited number of butterfly wings and accessories available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.
Meet-Up: 9:00 AM at Boulder Creek Veterinary Clinic
Parade Starts: 10:00 AM
Start your day with the Boulder Creek Fire Department's famous pancake breakfast (7:00 AM–Noon), then stick around after the parade for the Junction Park celebration from Noon–5:00 PM with live music, food, vendors, and plenty of hometown fun.
Together, let's celebrate our community and recreate one of the Valley's most unforgettable moments.
Gather your flock. Spread your wings. Fly with the Valley Women's Club.
Ready to join the fun? We'd love to have you march with us! If you have any questions, text Dawn at (408) 605-6091 or info@valleywomensclub.org.
