Dance & Movement Workshops

Discover the Freedom in Movement

The Valley Women’s Club Women’s Solutions Committee has presented annual Dance Workshops since 2014. Connie DeNault, a dance historian, teacher, choreographer, and VWC Emeritus, brings her passion for dance and history to the community—and everyone has fun!

Experience a journey of artistic awareness and transformation where your body explores painterly strokes of creativity while defining and uncovering your personal movement style.

All ages! No dance experience is necessary!

Unearth forgotten movements from within, breathing new life into them as they traverse the realms of space and range. Dive into dynamic locomotor movements, explore different focus states, and immerse yourself in the language of gestures, enriching your movement repertoire. Safety in movement is encouraged throughout.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll leave with a heightened awareness of your artistic style, ready to infuse it into your daily movements. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of movement styles in the world around you, from nature's grace to the power of sports and the allure of the performing arts.

Join us on this captivating journey into the heart of movement. Uncover your unique dance identity and explore the secrets of the diverse movement tapestry that surrounds us. Your path to self-expression and artistic discovery begins here.
