The Education Committee Works on various education issues in SLV, including T-K and Kindergarten school bags that we hand out to the young students enrolling in school for the first time. Schools: T-K is at Ludlow above the SLV High School, San Lorenzo Elementary, and Boulder Creek Elementary. The canvas bags include a book, colored paper, pencils, color crayons, scissors, etc. We want to thank an anonymous donor that makes this possible every year!
It is such a joy seeing their little faces light up when they receive their school study bags.

Wednesday, March 20th the Valley Women’s Club participated in the annual Kindergarten Roundup event at the San Lorenzo Valley Elementary School. The open house event is for families with children starting kindergarten in the fall. Parents and kids are invited to tour the school grounds, visit classrooms, speak to the teachers and principal, and get signed up for the fall. Every year the Valley Women’s Club has a table at the event offering free gift bags for the families that include school supplies, a coloring book, and information about the Valley Women’s Club. Thanks to Wendy Harris, Chairperson of the Education Committee, for planning this fun event.
