My name is Alisan Andrews, and I am the current President/Treasurer of the Valley Women’s Club (VWC). I came on the board in 2015 as Secretary, I have worked on the Marketing Team, Legacy of Trees Donation Program, and I am the database manager. In 2020 I took over as Treasurer and was elected President in 2021. I am fortunate to be involved in all these areas as it gives me a deep insight into the workings of the club and the fantastic work we do in the SLV community.
I spent most of my childhood in the Valley, parks, lakes, and beaches around Santa Barbara, and I have always felt a strong connection to nature. The VWC was a perfect fit for my husband and me when we moved to SLV. As an artist and art teacher, the Valley gives me a wealth of beauty and interest to choose from as material and inspiration.
My background is in Marketing with science-related products. I have been the Executive Assistant to the Sr. V.P. of Marketing and the Sr. V.P. of Research and Development at Raychem Corporation. I also worked in the Gift and Houseware industry at Charmwick Candles in Santa Cruz and Scale Models Unlimited in Menlo Park. This experience has helped me keep the internal running of the VWC non-profit organization on track and current in all aspects.
It is my privilege to serve the VWC, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the amazing work and dedication of all our members and volunteers.
