Lupe Rodriguez, Director of Public Affairs at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte
Guadalupe (Lupe) Rodríguez is the Director of Public Affairs at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte. Previously, Lupe was the Program and Policy Director at ACCESS Women’s Health Justice, where she was for four years. Through this role she also served as the Northern California Regional Coordinator for the national Raising Women’s Voices collaborative for health care reform.
Lupe is an alumnus of the Women’s Policy Institute (2007-2008), a policy advocacy training fellowship program sponsored by the Women’s Foundation of California. Lupe is a also a member of a the national Women’s Health Leadership Network, a reproductive justice advisory group for the Women’s Health & Rights Program at the Center for American Progress.
Lupe recently served on the board of directors of the California Family Health Council and is a commissioner on the Human Rights Commission in the city of San José and the Santa Clara County Commission on the Status of Women. She currently sits on the boards of California Latinas for Reproductive Justice (CLRJ) and ACCESS Women’s Health Justice. In 2010, Lupe was honored with the ‘Generation Award for an Emerging Leader’ from the California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom. She has a BA in biology from Harvard University.
