Benefits Non-profits • Amazing Music Line-up Forming • Applications On-line
An eight-member, all volunteer committee has been hard at work for months, planning the 7th Annual Redwood Mountain Faire, coming June 4-5 to Roaring Camp in Felton. They are aiming to again raise thousands of dollars for local non-profit and educational organizations over the two-day event, with the help of over 350 volunteers.
The 2016 Faire’s goal is to match or exceed the $59,000 benefit amount from 2015. Faire proceeds are given to over 20 vital local non-profit and educational organizations. Deadlines have been extended, and applications are on-line for vendors, including artists and crafters (juried, made-by-the-artist only), and non-profit information booths, as well as for the non-profits willing to help staff the Faire and thus share in the proceeds. Apply right away!
With the Faire’s special feel in its beautiful venue, you will want to plan to come early and stay late. The two unique stages, one nestled on the oak-shaded Meadow, the other Creekside in the trees, offer a remarkable variety of local and national performers, including the amazing MarchFourth! which has signed on to headline on Sunday — Saturday headliners and 20 more bands will be announced soon! Join the Faire on Facebook and on the website to see the bands as they are announced! (An amazing 200 bands applied to play for this year’s event.)
The Faire, recipient of honors from the California State Legislature, is also recognized for the superior quality of its juried arts and crafts, the extensive and creative activities for kids, great food, excellent brews and wines, a unique raffle, and special entertainment surprises each day. Put June 4 and 5 on your calendar, and plan to get your tickets ahead of time, since there will be discounts for purchasing tickets before the day of the event.
