From Bruce McPherson: PG&E Wildfire Safety Program Underway in San Lorenzo Valley

As many of you know, PG&E has begun to implement aspects of its Community Wildfire Safety Program to reduce the risk of fire in high-danger areas such as the San Lorenzo Valley. Our office has received dozens upon dozens of calls and emails from constituents confused about the scope of the program and the rights and responsibilities they have as property owners in responding to PG&E’s requests to conduct enhanced vegetation removal as authorized by the California Public Utilities Commission.

Halloween Crossing Guards Needed in Boulder Creek

Halloween is approaching and the VWC is again supporting the Boulder Creek Business Association with pedestrian safety control during Trick or Treating downtown. Volunteers are needed to help show pedestrians what route to follow and where to cross Hwy 9 safety with the crossing guards.
