Annual Update 2014

History: Originally the Hammer Family donated $25,000 to the Community Foundation to be used for projects benefiting the children and residents of the San Lorenzo Valley. The Valley Women’s Club joined the effort to raise funds for this effort.

With a bequest from Jean Bourrett for $88,000 added to the fund in 2013, the current balance is $138,000. Approximately $2,500 is available for grant requests. This year $2,500 was granted to Community Bridges specifically for Mountain Community Resources. The Foundation guidelines specify that no more than 4% can be granted yearly to one applicant.
