The Director of the SLV Redemption & Recycling Centers (SLV RRC), David Wright, has resigned his position as Director, effective 12/31/14. “We’re going to miss Dave” said VWC Board President Lynn McKibbin. “He has been so great for our recycling business. He streamlined our recycling operation and made very large reductions in expenses so that we remain economically viable for another 20 years,” said McKibbin.
Wright was instrumental in winning a new recycling contract with the County of Santa Cruz as well as gaining funding from the Community Foundation for a new County-wide Styrofoam recycling program. “Recycling is a fascinating business and continues to play a critical role in reducing our impact on the planet” said Wright. Wright has been offered a partnership in a company that does strategic planning.
