Learn from Lois Flood!
Workshop Sunday, November 16, 2 pm
The enormous success of our presentation on Isadora Duncan, Icon of Freedom for Women, presented by Duncan expert Lois Flood at Park Hall last January, stimulated the idea for a second program where participants could actually learn dance in the style of Isadora Duncan. Ms Flood offered to return to give a dance workshop as a fundraiser, so she is returning with an amazing program for us.
At this workshop participants will learn the basic movements and philosophy of Isadora’s dance. Each of the three parts of the workshop will follow Isadora’s patterns of enhanced natural movements, from the warm-up, to across the floor and learning an actual dance. Participants will be provided a tunic and scarf to use during the workshop and a CD of Schubert waltzes, and a short video of Isadora dancing will be shown. Ms Flood assures us that both beginners and advanced dancers will enjoy the experience.
Save November 16th from 1 to 3, at the Highlands Park Senior Center, for this exciting fundraiser for the VWC Women’s Issues Committee. The fee is $25 for VWC members and $30 for non-members.
