Courtney was born in Santa Cruz, California. She is currently a board member of the SLVMS Parents club and helps coordinate volunteer activities and events.
Over her lifetime, she has volunteered with many organizations and is delighted to begin her board membership with the VWC as a member of the Education Committee.
During the past 25 years, her career has spanned multiple high-tech positions. For 13 years, she has worked for an environmental non-profit committed to greenhouse gas reduction and community advocacy.
She is also a certified yoga instructor, death doula, amateur blacksmith, and scuba diver. A one-time long-distance runner, she has enjoyed participating in dozens of half-marathons and endurance events.
As a lifelong learner, She is a naturally inquisitive person that is eager for knowledge. She loves to research. And to be of service to the community, she hopes to apply this to her new role.
She has been a member of the SLV community for almost four years. She lives with her partner, stepchild, and dog in Boulder Creek. She has a passion for art, travel, and environmental and equity advocacy.
