Volunteers are needed to help assure the safety of Trick-or-Treaters in downtown Boulder Creek this Halloween. For over 30 years the VWC has provided the volunteers to help keep costumed folks moving in the traditional counter-clockwise route, along Highway 9 sidewalks in downtown Boulder Creek, on this very special night organized by the Boulder Creek Business Association. Keeping people out of the street, and only crossing at designated corners, helps assure their safety and enables cars to move more readily through town.
Anyone interested in helping is requested to call Hilary Stanley at 338-2247. Volunteers meet at 4:45 on Halloween eve, Saturday, October 31st, in front of the Boulder Creek Liquor Store. Dress warmly and bring a flashlight. Once there they receive assignments and bright orange VWC safety vests, and instructions for the evening. The job ends at 7 pm when the treats are no longer being passed out.
Afterwards you are invited to join the other volunteers at Hilary’s nearby home, to enjoy Chinese food together from the Red Pearl (each pays his/her own share).
Please call right away! We need your help and it’s a lot of fun!
